Stories from the Farm

Life is full of surprises and adventures that too often go unnoticed in the course of everyday living. Only when we take the time to look back on our memories, do we realize that it is the simple events that make our lives rich. In the following stories, I share the memories and (sometimes fabricated) adventures of my youth through invented characters who live in the fictional small town of Glenfield, Maine. (I would probably be in big trouble if I used real names and actual places!) At the time, life seemed very ordinary, and occasionally, even a little boring. But now, I realize just how wonderful and full those days were. More than that, looking back has taught me to look forward with a sense of expectancy and appreciation for every moment we have to share with friends and family.

So, sit back, relax and read a few of these short stories. And when you are done, consider your own life. I bet there are memories, adventures and special moments, just waiting to be remembered, enjoyed and retold. Share them with someone special.
